Christopher K. Tucker
Chairman & Managing Director
Chris is an investor, businessman, social entrepreneur, and national security expert. Chris manages Yale House Ventures, a portfolio of technology oriented companies, social ventures, and public entrepreneurship initiatives. These span the worlds of renewable energy, geospatial data and technology, Open Educational Resources, sensors, IoT, robotics, space, cyber-security, open source software and hardware, and social media technologies. Chris was the founding chief strategic officer of In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s venture capital fund. Before joining In-Q-Tel, Chris served as special adviser to the executive vice provost of Columbia University.
Chris serves as Chairman of the American Geographical Society, and serves on the board of directors of the Open Geospatial Consortium and the US Geospatial Intelligence Foundation. Chris serves on many corporate boards and has served on public sector bodies such as the Defense Science Board’s Intelligence Task Force, the United States Department of Interior’s National Geospatial Advisory Committee, the Director of National Intelligence Strategic Studies Group, and a committee of the U.S. National Research Council.
Chris earned his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. at Columbia University in the City of New York.
Jeffrey H. Singer
Managing Director
Jeff has served in a variety of senior leadership positions including his tenure as CEO of Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) where he broke growth records and solidified DIFC as the MENA region’s #1 finance destination for financial services companies. As CEO & Board Member of NASDAQ Dubai Jeff reversed the under-performing business and orchestrated a complex merger between NASDAQ Dubai and Dubai Financial Market (DFM).
Jeff was instrumental in the development of federal laws for the DIFC to make Dubai more competitive in financial services industry, where he harmonized regulations to satisfy the local and international regulatory authorities to merge two stock exchanges. Jeff drafted and published the regulatory briefs for the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA, the independent financial regulatory agency of the DIFC special economic zone) & SCA on local and international capital-market regulation. Jeff also met on several occasions with two SEC Commissioners to discuss capital market regulations in the U.S. and the GULF while actively working with the US Congress and NASDAQ issuers to amend the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002.
Jeff earned his B.S. in International Finance from Brigham Young University (where he was Student Body President his senior year) and his MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
Robert B. Lamb
Managing Director
Rob is an international corporate attorney who has specialized in venture capital, finance, business & employment immigration, cross-border business transactions & corporate law. He represents and counsels companies at all stages of growth and development, and is an expert in complex international structures (for tax and liability planning) and cross-border and domestic M&A, Private Equity, Joint Venture, licensing and technology transfer transactions. He has served as lead counsel in deals involving some of the best known international brands and innovative concepts, innovations, and technologies in the world.
Rob has served as an international corporate attorney for elite global law firms in Greater Asia, Atlanta, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City. Rob is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and has spent a significant time in Asia representing an exclusive list of clientele. He is well published and a much sought after speaker with regards to doing business in China.
In addition to being admitted to practice law in Utah, Arizona, Nebraska, and before the United States Court of International Trade, Rob sits on the Advisory Board of F-Matic, Inc. and former U.S. Senator Robert Bennett’s venture partnership group, Bennett Group International.
Rob earned his B.A. in History & Chinese from the University of Utah and his law degree (J.D.) from Creighton University School of Law. Among his passions are his family, coaching, and baseball.
Sherif F. Younes
Managing Director
Sherif served as a Senior Advisor to the Al Maktoums, Dubai’s ruling family, for 20 years. He is currently a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Egyptian Government. Sherif is an advisor to Deloitte Canada in their investigation of international financial fraud cases.
Sherif has 30 years of global experience working both as an attorney and consulting lawyer for federal & state governments, large corporate enterprises (such as Deloitte & Touche), family offices, and high net worth individuals overseeing financial controls and prevention & investigation of financial fraud in Dubai, the United States, Canada, Egypt, and abroad.
Sherif is an authorized trainer for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE U.S.A.) in the United States, Dubai, Qatar, et al. He has trained the Dubai Police, Dubai State Security & U.S. Federal Agents alike. He has a certificate in Fraud Scheme, Financial Crimes Prevention & Detection, Anti-Money Laundering & Compliance from the Manchester Business School, United Kingdom. Sherif earned both his post-graduate Degree in Economics & his Law Degree from Cairo University, Egypt.
Gary D. George
Managing Director
Gary has over three decades of experience as a Chief Operating Officer (DaimlerChrysler), chief compliance officer, corporate development director, and in other senior financial & operational management positions. Gary is also currently both CEO & CFO of a high tech startup company focused on liquid purification (drinking water and other) where he negotiated a 6-year distribution agreement worth over $155 million in revenue.
As vice-president of silicon valley based ACE Capital Group, Gary was instrumental in evolving California's Subdivision Act to allow sale of a single property to more than four individuals jointly, an industry first. In this capacity, Gary also acted as chief compliance officer with management and oversight of regulatory affairs and government relations.
As COO for DaimlerChrysler, Gary has successfully led new venture development projects in China, Japan, Pakistan, India, Morocco, the Caribbean, and the United States (think Jeep!). Gary specializes in financial management & analysis, strategic planning, project funding, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and contract negotiations. Over his long tenure with DaimlerChrysler, Gary implemented new risk management policies and credit facilities that led to annual savings of tens of millions of dollars.
Gary received his B.S. from Brigham Young University, and an MBA from BYU's Graduate School of Management.
